Providing the Ninja ZX-10R with the binders it takes to compete at the top level are dual 310mm petal-style semi-floating rotors gripped by Tokiko radial mount calipers up front, as well as a 220mm petal-type rotor and a single piston caliper in the rear. On ABS models, the Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Braking System (KIBS) is ideally suited to supersport riding, with an extremely light feel at the levers and no uncomfortable pulsating feedback. The system analyzes front and rear wheel speed, gear selection, clutch actuation, engine rpm, throttle position and caliper pressure to guard against wheel lock and help suppress rear wheel lift
The ZX-10R uses a 43mm inverted Showa Separate Function Big Piston Fork (SFF-BP), which is lighter in weight vs. a conventional fork, while also featuring a unique damping mechanism for smooth action and control while braking. The rear horizontal back-link suspension has a fully-adjustable shock that provides predictable action throughout the entire shock travel range.
Designed with Öhlins specifically for the ZX-10R, an electronically controlled steering damper provides the exact amount of input needed for your ride, using data like speed and rate of acceleration or deceleration to optimize damping.
